Red copper mirrors from Tibet, with a diameter of 47 millimeters (measured without the eyelet). Please note that in Tibetan tradition, the dynamics associated with this metal are different than in our traditional shamanic worldview (where the red copper is associated with the Underworld Sun and thus mostly used by black shamans). In Tibetan spirituality, the red copper is seen as a very auspicious metal. So it very much depends on the tradition you're working in and the work you are planning to do with it, which metal will be suitable for your personal mirror.

These mirrors are from vintage origin and have gained some debris and stains over time. They could definitely do with some good (metal)polish treatment to make them shiny and ready for their next job again.

In Tibet, mirrors such as these are called 'melong' and are traditionally often worn on the belt instead of around the neck. This mirror is made in a traditional Tibetan style, which is connected with the Dzogchen path. In this tradition, the mirror itself represents the pure, true nature; the state of mind beyond the illusions of duality, also referred to as the 5th element (Space or Emptiness). The mirror thus represents our full potential, past the human concepts of body, mind and emotions.

In each of the four directions of this mirror (representing the four cardinal points, four elements or four directions), a group of three dots can be seen. These represent multiple trinities that are recognized in the Dzogchen tradition, such as the trinity Body, Speech and Mind (the three concepts in which a human would divide himself and which all need to be transformed to reach the goal of the Rainbow Body). Or the three Buddhist Jewels; Buddha, Dharma and Sangha or the trinity of Base (essence), Nature and Energy.

Multiple ones available, sold per piece. We will handpick one at random for you.
