Intriguing handmade ritual object from Nepal.

The exact origins of this object are unfortunately unknown, tho we do know that is comes from Nepal where it has been made around the 1980's. The parts of which it has been assembled point to it being used by a tantric buddhist and/or Himalayan shamanic practitioner. It certainly has been a very personal object, being put together for the exact purpose of the previous owner. And tho we of course cannot know this exact purpose, we hope that maybe its spirit speaks to you directly and chooses you as its new partner.

Design;

The middle part is made of Tibetan silver and brass and decorated with coral and turquoise cabochons. Most likely this part (the middle + the conical top) has at once been a traditional Tibetan stamp / seal. But the bottom where once the stamp must have been, has been replaced with a dark brown amber or copal bead, into which a small brass phurba pendant has been attached.
On both sides, into the holes where originally some kind of cord or strap for the stamp / seal would have have threaded through, there are now two old conch shell beads painted with mantra's attached.

Being from vintage origin, it certainly shows some signs of its age and previous usage and has some debris built up over time. A good, but of course careful, cleaning might be a good way to start your relationship with this item.

Sizes; approximately 10,5 centimeters high, 6,5 centimeters wide and 73 grams weight.

Unique object, of course only one available.
