Multifunctional Tibetan red copper vessel, from vintage origin. Vessels like these have been used by people in Himalayan regions for hundreds of years. They are used both purely practical, to carry water or other drinks along when travelling, and for ritual and ceremonial purposes; to transport liquid offerings like tea, milk, water or wine to sacred places.

On both sides of this vessel a metal ring and an eyelet can be seen. This is where a leather strap used to be attached for carrying-purposes. Of course something similar can be re-atteched again, when your are planning to use it in an active way again.

This vessel is made from red copper and decorated with brass ornaments. It is an old one already. The exact age is hard to say, but it can roughly be determined somewhere around the late 19th or early 20th century. Due to its age and previous usage, of course some damages and imperfections can be seen, so please look closely at the pictures to observe the condition of this item.

Total height, measured including the lid and the pointy tip on it; approximately 20 centimeters. Diameter measured at the bottom is 113 millimeters. Total weight; 381 grams
