Vintage Nepalese wooden wallhanger depicting the face of the Hindu deity Shiva, very nicely decorated with beads of both naturally rough and smoothly polished rudraksha seeds and tassels of black yak hair. The serene facial expression has been wonderfully captured.
The naturally dark brown wood has been varnished with a warm red-brown color. Being from vintage origin, this mask could use a good (but of course gentle) cleaning before using it again; years of hanging on the wall in its previous home have left a layer of dust and debris. But other than that, it is in very good condition.
Sizes: approximately 28 centimeters high and 20 centimeters wide. Weight is 576 grams. On the backside a leather strap has been attached to use it as a wallhanger.
