Old wooden phurba from Nepal. Artisan handcarved masterpiece with some minor imperfections and damages due to its age and previous usage, but overall still in very good condition. This one is quite unique in its appearance, especially because of the four-sided blade.
Design characteristics:
Pommel and handle of this phurba are formed by two very nicely carved typical Nepalese 'namaskara mudra' figurines, standing back-to-back. Blade: the unique four-sided blade has been engraved with sun and moon symbols, a trident and abstract geometrical carvings. The tip of the blade has been wrapped in metal, making it easier to stick this phurba into the ground
It has a length of 23 centimeters and weighs 125 grams.
